Information

IKE Micro was founded in 1981 and is privately held. IKE operates from a completely refurbished 14,000 square foot facility. The Company’s core competency is build to print manufacturing of microelectronics and microwave assemblies for the defense and commercial electronics industries. We service customers looking for quick turn around and small to mid-sized production runs. Automated equipment enables us to be a competitive domestic alternative for larger production runs. IKE provides both consignment and turnkey outsourcing options.

Our journey toward success is based on a few Company philosophies:

  • Never sell a product. For 30 years IKE has always been a pure play contract manufacturer. You will never see an IKE Micro sensor, amplifier, encoder or switch on our website or in a catalog for sale. Our commitment to build to print keeps us focused on our customers’ products and ensures that we protect the proprietary nature of their designs.
  • A total commitment to manufacturing quality and efficiency. Because we have no design engineering staff and few overhead personnel, all of our energies are directed toward supporting the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operation. IKE incorporates both automatic and manual assembly processes, and uses small batch processing to increase throughput.
  • Good communication with our customers. Our success depends on constant communication with our customers regarding scheduling, material, workmanship criteria and assembly processes.
  • Flexibility. Our customers come to IKE because we can function like an extension of their own assembly operation. Sometimes we have to make changes midstream to meet customers’ requirements. So if it’s a prototype job drawn on a napkin, or sudden shift in priorities, IKE accommodates our customers’ needs.
  • Maintain a diverse customer base. Our ability to prosper during up and down economic cycles has been dependent on our ability to service various industries. We try to maintain a healthy mix of commercial and defense work, and target industrial, optoelectronics, telecommunications, medical, and wireless military industries.
  • Committed employees. We may not be a big company, but we do have the best in the business working on our customers’ products. All employees are trained as part of the IKE Micro Skill Matrix, which incorporates workmanship criteria for MIL-STD 883 and IPC-A-610. We have a veteran work force that knows what’s expected of them, is self-motivated, and is empowered to help us improve. As of 2010, IKE Micro personnel has a combined 395 years of manufacturing experience.
